Open studios 2019
This is the first time I have opened my studio for visitors. I have set up a selection of my work to show the range and diversity of what I spend my time doing. The weather is cold, rainy and blowing a gale but dont let that put off your visit.

Very much admire your work and have been gifted a copy of ‘From Print to Stitch’. Wondering if you could share what brand of sewing machine you use/prefer. I am in the market for a new one (after old faithful finally gave up) and looking to incorporate my printing into fabric.

Hi Rebecca, I use a Bernina sewing machine. I have a bottom of the range mechanical model and also an Activa 135. I prefer to use low tech machines and look for being able to free machine (lower feed dogs) and to be able to do one stitch at a time. Do go and try out the machines before you buy and ask that difficult tasks are demonstrated so that you can judge how they operate. good luck!
